Guest guest
I really think bodies can adapt to a lot of things. If a body is generally healthy it can get a lot of nutrition from just rice etc. I know there are a lot of people who can function & work hard in a lot of poorer areas. but at the same time, I think there are also a lot of people who die younger or die because their bodies cannot use the limited nutrients as efficiently. I think a lot of our vitamins are just wasted because of our inability to absorb them. Also because we are sicker our bodies need a lot more nutrients. I also know my body adapts to getting new supplements quickly.
Guest guest
Hi Bee, hi everyone Are potatoes not on the acceptable foods list solely because they are high in carbohydrates? I calculated my daily ratio and I should be getting around 60g of carbohydrates per day. I want to make sure that I get at least that much as I have had a bad experience with corsitol overload that I'd rather not repeat. On days that I can't be bothered preparing and eating a small garden's worth of other vegetables to get my 60g, is it okay to substitute with potato? Or are the carbohydrates in potatoes somehow worse than the ones in other vegetables? Thank you all.

What is your name please? +++Potatoes are high in starch, and like other carbs not allowed on the candida diet, they turn into glucose/sugar in the body and feed candida. It appears as if you haven't read my articles about candida, since the reason you don't consume starches, grains, and some vegetables is well explained. So, it IS about the " kinds of carbs " and not the total carb count that is important for candida sufferers. I suggest you carefully read How to Successfully Overcome Candida so you understand what foods are okay and not okay, and why: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Also read Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement see these Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php All the best, Bee
