Guest guest
, Dont know what was in your contract but go to the citizens advice and see if you can put a complaint in to the trading standards office. All companies must comply to certain standards and if they dont they are in breach, so they should put you in the right direction.Usually the fact you have done that scares them into submission. I had a similar situation where i had my car for 21 days and the gear box went and the garage said it was my responsibility, after contacting the citizens advice and knowing my rights it was easier to deal with. Guest guest
I can only think that perhaps a word with the Local Trading Standards Officer may help. As you say, it is difficult when you are not 'on site' to deal with these problems, but the garage will surely want to preserve its' 'good name'!! Guest guest
, I know there's a 'cool off' period on any finance deals - but can't remember how long it is........ As Steve said; get in touch with Trading Standards - a call from them may be enough to shock the garage (if it's reputable) into action. Cheers, Bill Re: Off topic Help I can only think that perhaps a word with the Local Trading Standards Officer may help. ANyone know? +++Hi . You don't click on My Account. On the Group's Website click on " Edit Membership " which is highlighted in blue, just above the name of this group.
