you read right. had her first one done around 4 or 5 and they did

another one a couple years ago. We did see a speicfic techincian taht the

dr. wanted to do this x ray. I figured it's probably like the blood draws,

some have the knack and others aren't quite as good. :-)

We were told that we had to wait until BJ was 5 and that was because the

children " behaved " properly and they could get a better x-ray. Well we

went just after BJ was 5 and it scared the dickens out of him- it took

them nearly 1/2 hr to get the xray done, and poor ole Trent had to hold

him for all that time struggling, while Trent wore on of those heavy

smocks. Then it took us nearly half an hour extra to calm him down

afterwards...I think the marker they stick to the back of his neck got

him going........A nd then we had to wait around to make sure the xray

turned out, or we would have had to go again.....It is hard when they

dont understand- after seeing what BJ went thru- maybe it would have

been easier when he was younger and much more pliable and easier to

hold.............

OH Leis

sorry to hear that bj didin't like getting x rays. but ya know, I don't

remember them putting a mark on either time.....they did have one of the

techs hold her head down and they quickly took the pic. They were all really

great with her and didn't push things to quicklys. (even made it kinda a fun

game type of thing) Hopefully they'll do better with him the next time.
