Isocort has much less hydrocortisone than advertised, while Cortef is the real deal (or at least a real synthetic corticosteroid, and more closely regulated). I suspect your perceived benefit from Isocort is due to one of the stimulant herbal ingredients in the Isocort, rather than the dessicated sheep adrenals, probably the echinacea, which is not recommended long term.
