The King's Highway

Once a king had a great highway built for the

members of his

kingdom. After it was completed, but before it was opened to

the

public, the king decided to have a contest. He invited as many

as

desired to participate. Their challenge was to see who could travel

the

highway the best.

On the day of the contest the people came. Some of them

had fine

chariots, some had fine clothing, fine hairdos, or great food.

Some

young men came in their track clothes and ran along the

highway.

People traveled the highway all day, but each one, when he

arrived

at the end, complained to the king that there was a large pile

of

rocks and debris left on the road at one spot and this got in their

way

and hindered their travel.

At the end of the day, a lone traveler crossed

the finish line

warily and walked over to the king. He was tired and dirty,

but he

addressed the king with great respect and handed him a bag of

gold.

he explained, "I stopped along the way to clear a pile of rocks

and

debris that was blocking the road. This bag of gold was under it

all.

I want you to return it to its rightful owner."

The king replied, "You

are the rightful owner."

The traveler replied, "Oh no, this is not mine.

I've never known

such money."

"Oh yes," said the king, "you've earned

this gold, for you won my

contest. He who travels the road best is he who

makes the road

smoother for those who will follow."

Have a sinus infection that was hurting my teeth. Went to the dentist & he took an x-ray & had me call the ENT because of my allergy to certain medications.

Have a stupid question I am sure. I know we are considered autoimmune but are we also immune suppressed or does it depned on the meds we are on?

hospital and they have taken her off of her Imuran, 100mg (been on 6 months)

and the metho, 12mg ( been on for 3 months) She is only on 10mg of pred..

She is flaring in her nose, ribs, neck and has vasculitus in her legs and

stomach. They are saying because she is 15 that it might be a teenage thing

and she is causing it herself. She has been diagnosed with RP since the age

of 2 and 2 of her brothers also have it.

Marie pia is 200 miles from the hospital she is in and works so she can only

go to see her every other day. She can never get to talk to the professors.

I emailed Dr. Buckner and Dr. Trentham today to see if they would be

interested in calling or emailing the drs over there or Marie pia. I don't

speak French, so it is difficult for me to do much good. If anyone does

speak or write French, please send Marie pia any encouraging words. Sandy I

told her to ask about the Cytoxon and Remicade but she said the professors

over there didn't say much.

Thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. She is one

wonderful lady and has put up with so much. She is SOOO tired right now, she

Gish sorry to hear about your dentist visit. I had the same problem but my dentist didn't refuse to treat me he just didn't put me on an antibiotic for an infected tooth that got worse overnight and I had to go back for the antibiotic the next day. Gish if it isn't the dr. it is the dentists. Wonder what would happen if we went into their office and acted in the same manner as they do.

Bob, a fisherman, takes one vitaimin B-1 tablet a day

April through October . He said it works. He was right.

The odor the tablet gives out through your skin

(YOU can not smell it) repels mosquitos,black flies,

no seeum's, and knat's. It does not work on stinging insects.

Hasn't had a mosquito bit in 33 years. Try it.

Every one he has talked into trying it works on them.

Vitimin B-1( Thiamine Hydrochloride 100 mg.)

Kenn said NPR reports that if you eat bananas,

the mosquitos like you, something about the banana oil

as your body processes it. (Maybe they need the potassium too- lol)

Stop eating bananas for the summer and the mosquitos

will be much less interested.

This is going to floor you, but one of the best

insect repellents someone found (who is in the woods

every day), is Vick's Vaporub.

Plant marigolds around the yard, the flowers give off

a smell that bugs do not like,

so plant some in that garden also to help ward

off bugs without using insecticides.

" Tough guy " Marines who spend a great deal of time

" camping out " say that the very best mosquito

repellant you can use is

Avon Skin-So-Soft bath oil mixed about

half and half with alcohol.

mix your own:

20 drops Eucalyptus oil

20 drops Cedarwood oil

10 drops Tea Tree oil

10 drops Geranium oil

2 oz. carrier oil ( such as Jojoba )

Mix together in a 4 oz. container. Apply to skin as

needed avoiding the eye area. Keep out of reach

of children. Test on a small area of skin for sensitivities .

Experiment with different percentages of essential oil

One of the best natural insect repellants that I've discovered

is made from the clear real vanilla (not the grocery store

vanilla extract which is mostly alcohol). This is the pure

vanilla that is sold in Mexico. It's cheap there if you know

of someone that lives there or in the US close to the border.

If not, health food stores usually carry it or can order it

for you. I use it half vanilla and half water and find

that it works great for mosquitoes and ticks,

don't know about other insects.

Do any of you have these symptoms? Thanks in advance for the input.

my ear, any part of the outer ear, kind of like squeeze it between my thumb

and pointer finger and it doesn't hurt at all. But if I take a few fingers

and push on my whole ear it hurts. Does that sound like rp ear pain? And

it always hurts down my neck and in front of my ear. In fact I can tell

when it's going to hurt when I turn my head a certain way and feel like I'm

straining or pulling something in the ear area.

Please don't be afraid to speak up when you talk to the preacher and his wife. Hopefully the preacher will stop his wife from gossiping behind your back and to your fade it appears.

Just remember we are here for you and time you need to talk about. I hope one day your daughter will get over her anger at you because you are sick. But I think a lot of children react this way. It's there way to vent.

They put me thrum test after test and consult after consult yesterday. We were there 12 hours. They still don't know what this tumor is? They said they had never seen one where mine is? lol

if its out there and strange you can bet I will find it. lol
