The following tips teach us how to enhance our beauty naturally with ayurveda and yoga. Lips play the most important role in the beauty of the face. When the lips turn violet or brown then there is every chance of their color turning black. The main reasons for the lips turning ugly is the deficiency of vitamin A and B.

Some other causes are as follows:

Changing weather, strong winds, dry weather. Wrong habits like use of lipstick, lotions, creams, etc., eating spicy, hot food, smoking, eating tobacco, gutkha, etc. Use of harmful toothpaste or tooth powder.

Beauty of the Lips through Ayurveda

Stop the consumption of hot, spicy food before beginning the treatment for lips. Stop the use of wrong toothbrush and paste and use natural toothpastes. Sometimes the lips crack and bleed; apply pure ghee and consume carrot in more quantities to solve this problem. Carrot contains Vitamin A and other vital elements. If the lips have turned black, then add salt with milk and apply on the lips. Wash after some time or apply fresh rose petals paste. Add a few drops of glycerin and apply on the lips. Wash the lips with fresh water after some time.

If the lips chap then apply butter mixed with kesar on the lips.

During winters apply a few drops of rapeseed oil in the navel and massage. This protects the lips from cracking. Also, apply olive oil on the lips. This keeps them soft and smooth.

Remove the hot ghee applied on chapatti and apply it on the lips, this prevents cracking. At night wash the lips with water and sleep. Mix 48 grams of coconut oil, 24 grams of castor oil, 12 grams of olive oil and store it in a bottle. Apply this on the lips at nighttime to keep the lips smooth. Chanting Om gives a good shape to the lips. Chant Om 5 to 10 times in the morning every day.

Beauty of the Hands and legs

The beauty of the hands and legs is also equally important. Neglecting the beauty of the hands and legs can spoil the whole personality and make it unattractive. Yoga practice is required to keep the hands and legs smooth, soft, free of unwanted hair, and healthy with good skin quality.

Cure for Problems of the Hands and Legs

Mix rose extract and glycerin and massage the hands and legs for 15 minutes. Then apply cold milk cream and leave it for ten minutes. After, wipe it with a damp cloth. Massaging the hands and legs with fresh buttermilk or cream is also beneficial. Making papads, grinding, milking the cows, all these activities makes the hands beautiful. Massage is also very beneficial.

Wash the hands and legs with multani mati at least twice a week and then wash with hot water. Wash the hands in hot water and then with cold water and then apply cream.

If the skin on the hands gets cracked, apply equal quantities of lemon juice and glycerin.

Care for the Nails

The hands look beautiful, clear and healthy with proper and healthy finger nails. Neglecting the nails can spoil the beauty of the hands. Oval shaped, pink colored and clean nails are the best. The nails should not have any kind of spots or lines.

Cut the nails twice every week, do not bite the nails or do not use a sharp knife.

If the nails are cracked then mix fenugreek seeds paste and wax and apply on the nails. In case of constipation, eat fruits, vegetables and fiber rich food.

If blood is filled inside the nails then mix fenugreek seeds with vinegar and apply it on the nails.

Protecting the Beauty of the Hands

It is very necessary to protect the beauty of the hands because the wrinkles on the hands give an old look at a young age itself.

During winters rub lemon juice and sugar on the hands. This makes the hands soft, smooth and clean. Mix lemon juice, glycerin and rose water in equal quantities and apply on the hands at bedtime.

If the skin of the hands appears to be chapped then apply papaya pulp and raw milk on the hands. This removes wrinkles from the hands.

If the hands are rough, rub the hands with one spoon of honey and a little bit of sugar, and repeat this process for smooth skin.

Keep the hands in lukewarm water for sometimes this removes the dirt and makes them soft.

Regularly massage the hands against one another, use the palm of one hand on the backside of the other hand. This maintains proper blood circulation. Hold the middle phalange of one hand with the index finger and thumb of the other hand and rotate it in circular motion. This makes the fingers round and good shape.

Now concentrate on the palms, press the beginning part of the fingers with the thumb and press it. Rotate the thumb in a circular motion. This prevents extra growth of the hands and keeps the hands smooth.

Join both the hands and gradually take the hand below and massage the other hand. Similarly do with the other hand. This is very good for increasing the blood circulation in the hands. Bend one palm (at the wrist) with the other but do not bend the wrist. Repeat with both hands. This strengthens the wrist, makes it healthy and beautiful.

If there is shivering in the hands, fold the fist, and turn it inside, then throw the hands outwards and then open the fist immediately.

Rotate the hands in all directions to make then beautiful, shapely and attractive. Massage one hand with the other gently. Repeat on the other hand. All the above-mentioned activities should be done 10 to 15 times. Afterwards massage the hands, nails and palms with some natural oil.

Beauty of the Neck and Shoulders

Always walk straight. Never walk with waist and head bent downwards as this can cause deformity. Sit straight whenever you sit.

Sleep on a stiff bed with one pillow and fold the hands backwards while walking.

Stand straight, keep the legs and neck straight and bend the neck backwards, then forwards. Repeat this 20 to 25 times. Inhale while bringing it down.

Facial Masks for Beauty

Never use artificial face packs; regular use of these packs makes the skin fat, ugly and dry. Natural masks prepared at home have a natural affect on the skin and it is also suitable as per the nature.

Raw papaya face pack: Cut the raw papaya in to small pieces and extract the juice. Apply the juice on the face and wash it after 20 minutes, this remove scars and marks from the face.

Olive oil pack: Mix half a spoon of olive oil, one fourth a spoon of lemon juice and apply this on the face, wash it off after 20 minutes.

Almond pack: Grind four almonds soaked in water with two spoons of milk. Add one spoon of orange juice and apply on the face. Apply more on spots; wash the face after 20 minutes.

Mint pack: Take one spoon each of rose water and mint juice. Apply on the face and leave it for a few hours. This can be applied at bedtime as well. Wake up in the morning and wash the face with cold water.

Divya Kanti Lep: Wash the face and apply the Divya Kanti Lep as per requirement, mixed with water or rose water, for two to three hours. Apply this at bedtime, after wash the face with cold water. This removes pimples and other diseases and enhances the beauty of the face.

Facial Steaming for Beauty

Take hot water in a big vessel and put some rose petals in it. Let it soak for some time. Cover the face with a towel so that the steam does not go out and the face gets it completely. Let the face get the whole steam. Wipe the face with soft cotton cloth and remove the black heads if any on the face. Wash the face with hot water and apply the above-mentioned lep on the face. Let it dry and after wash the face with cold water. This should be done once a week.

Cautions with Respect to Lep

The mask should be applied on a clean face.

Take facial steam and then apply the mask.

Apply the mask on the face excluding eyes and lips.

Apply the mask only for ten minutes on dry, delicate and mixed skin and then wash with water.

Use facial mask for 15 minutes in case of oily skin.

Use the most effective facial mask depending on the skin type.

Do not expose to sun or external air immediately after removing the mask. Give rest to the skin so that the skin comes into normal position.

Drink a lot of Water

Drink as much water as you can because age, change in season, dirt, sun, and hot and cold conditions cause dehydration, and this can be treated by drinking water.

Wash the body and face with water at regular intervals.

Do not use soap. Use multani mati for taking bath because however good the quality of soap might be, the caustic soda present in the soap is harmful for the skin.

Use gram flour, milk, curd and cream for bathing. Rub a piece of cucumber on the face. This maintains the glow on the face and lifts it.

Take Care of Your Eyes

The eyes should be given proper rest, to avoid pale look, sunken eyes, dark circles and wrinkles below the eyes. This can be obtained from natural methods. Vitamin A is very beneficial for the health of the eyes. The deficiency of this vitamin causes swelling in the eyes and the person can also become blind due to this. All types of green vegetables contain vitamin A, hence should be included in the food.

The eyes should get natural coolness. Wake up in the morning fill the mouth with fresh water and sprinkle cold water on the eyes. Do not let the eyelids to close. When the eyes start swelling after sprinkling the water 10-15 times throw the water present in the mouth and breathe normally. Repeat this five times. This gives natural coolness to the eyes, which is necessary for the health of the eyes.

Protect the eyes from dust and heat. Fill fresh water in a bucket and stop the breath. Now immerse the head inside the water so that the head, eyes, nose and mouth are immersed fully. Now open the eyes inside the water and then close. Try to rotate the eyes in all directions. When you want to take breath remove the head from the water. Repeat it few time to keep the eyes clean and cool.

Walk bare foot on green grass in the morning and evening. This improves the eyesight.

Wash the eyes with Triphala water for natural care. This keeps the eyes clean, healthy and disease free. Soak the Triphala at night and sieve it with a cloth in the morning, sprinkle the eyes with this water.

Sleep is the best way to give rest to the eyes. One should sleep at least 6 to 7 hours in a day. This gives complete rest to the eyes, drink seven to eight glasses of water in a day, drinking less water turns the white part of the eyes pale.

Avoid constipation. This also spoils the eyesight. Give rest to the eyes in between while watching television or working on computer. If the eyes feel to be tired then keep the cotton soaked in rose water on the eyes. This gives good relief.

Let the morning Sunrays come in contact with the eyes this keeps the eyes healthy.

Rotate the pupils in all directions and place the warm palms on the eyes for sometime. This makes the eyes active.

Natural Care for the Ankles

While taking bath in the morning, pay attention to the ankles. Soak the ankles in water. Let the skin soak nicely, rub with Turkish towel, this removes the dead skin from the ankles.

Accumulation of dust is the main reason for cracking of ankles. Pour a little lemon juice in lukewarm water and wash the feet with this water. Do not use soap. Wipe the feet with a towel. Apply olive oil and massage the feet gently. Do not apply any kind of oily thing on the ankles while going out of house. The dust accumulates on the skin and causes cracked ankles.

Heat 50 ml of rapeseed oil and add 25 grams of natural wax when it starts boiling. When the wax dissolves completely then remove it from the flame and add 5 grams of camphor when it is lukewarm. Apply this paste on the ankles at bedtime to make them beautiful and smooth.

Apply mehndi on the ankles and on the feet whenever you wish to, this increases the beauty of the ankles and also acts like a natural moisturizer.

People generally neglect the broken, chapped elbows and knees. These parts are exposed and are seen to everybody. They require a natural way of cleaning to enhance the whole personality.

Whenever you get time, rub lemon pieces on the elbows, knees and ankle. Regular use makes the skin smooth and soft.

Add two teaspoons of lemon juice in three teaspoons of cream and apply this paste on the knees, elbows and ankles. This makes them soft and clean. Take four spoons of gram flour, one big spoon of water, one teaspoon lemon juice and make a thick paste. Apply this paste on the whole body and rub it after 10 minutes, wash the body with lukewarm water. This removes the dead skin, and darkishness from the body and makes it beautiful and smooth. This should be done at least once a week.

Mud is a natural cleanser and tightens the skin. Add almond oil or honey in black mud and prepare a paste. Apply this paste on the knees, elbows and ankles and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash the area with cold water. This is a natural method to enhance the beauty of these parts. The minerals and vitamins found in mud are healthy for the skin.
