hi all,

I found out the code for the injections I was supposed to get through Oregon

Health Plan Plus open card.

I am told that these procedures go over the  line that OHP will pay for.  I plan

on calling OHP next week

to see what they say.  There must be something they can do for me right?

Here are the codes:

KD9

724.4

727.49

epidural steriod injection procedure code 62311

Do these numbers look familiar to anyone?  Has anyone had them before?

They are supposed to cost like 1400$.

This is so frustrating.  Why would they send me for

a procedure that OHP PLUS won't cover when they know I am on OHP PLUS,  duh?

Just thought I would fill you in and see what you all think or if you have any

ideas.

thanks and hugs, Coleen

Hey Coleen.

At http://www.icd9data.com/ this is what I got for those two codes:

" 2010 ICD-9-CM Diagnosis Code 724.4

Thoracic or lumbosacral neuritis or radiculitis unspecified "

" 2010 ICD-9-CM Diagnosis Code 727.49

Other ganglion and cyst of synovium tendon and bursa "

This is another site I use to look up codes (helps, but it's a bit weirder to

use):

http://icd9cm.chrisendres.com/

Can't find anything on the procedure code 62311 yet, but it's gotta be

somewhere! LOL.

I still wonder if doing part of it at a time would make any difference at all,

but that's a question for your doctor (or, more likely his assistant). I'm sure

repeated trips don't sound fun, but maybe doing it in pieces would lower the

cost enough to get it done? Does it say exactly how many of the injections they

want to do?

Gotta run,
