using hair analysis to determine mineral requirements

Hi Bee.

I searched the archives and read all the posts on Hair analysis and

saw that you find these useful.

I had one done and have my minerals all over the place.

Mg and Sulfur are high (off the chart). Boron, Chromium, copper,

Molybdenum,potassium, strontium,cobalt,lithium,tin and Vanadium are

very low and everything else is somewhere in the middle.

My question is... would the ConcenTrace minerals be fine or should I

get seperate minerals for awhile until they can " catch up " ?

The same Company that makes Concentrace also makes one with a handful

of things I am very low in and wondered if this would be a good idea.

What's your thoughts? BTW, I have been drinking mineral water for at

least a year now. The hair test is 4 months old.

Thanks in advance!

Hannah

==>Hannah, you should have received an evaluation of the results

because being low in a particular mineral doesn't mean you increase

it with supplements. When I go home I'll check my hair analysis

evaluation and get back to you. As I recall some combinations of

lows and highs mean different things.

==>The best way to get a wide range of minerals is with " good " water

like you have, plus ocean sea salt like Celtic, which should be a

minimum of 1 tsp minimum to 1 1/2 tsp per day. Some people need

more.

The best, Bee

Thank you Bee. Yes, my report gives Significant ratios. My Ca:Mg was

1.7 to l (normal range is (4.6-25.1):1

As far as I can see I don't see ratios for boron, Chromium, Molybdenum

and Strontium as well as some others. My low lithium is the one that

kinda concerns me with some of the issues I have been dealing with

manic/depressive moods.

Kindly,

Hannah

==>Boron, Chromium, copper, Molybdenum, strontium, cobalt, lithium, tin

and Vanadium are only required in trace amounts by the body so that's

why you want to get them from ocean sea salt and foods rather than

taking supplements that would provide too much throwing off other

minerals. With my diet it will also provide a lot of minerals,

particularly from meats, eggs and good fats.

==>Magnesium, sulfur and potassium are the only minerals of your list

that are required in higher amounts. When you are high in magnesium

you need to ensure you are balancing it with enough calcium. When

your potassium is low it means you need to consume more green

veggies. Sulfur will balance out naturally as you get the other

minerals.

==>Usually when minerals are low it means you need to take Betaine

hydrochloric acid to increase your stomach acid and do other things

to increase digestion. Do a search of my website for digestion and

also see my main candida article for how to improve digestion.

==>Your depressive moods are caused by candida toxins, which are mostly

alcohol, so as you progress on this program it will improve. Other

nutrients that are more important for depression, i.e. omega 3. See
