I don't know if H pylori causes leaky gut, but I know that the fatty

acids and monoglycerides that coconut oil is broken down to in the

stomach are capable of 100% destroy H pylori in tissue culture. I

would suggest taking as much coconut oil as you can tolerate without

diarrhea, and looking into a monolaurin supplement.

Hi,

HP causes ulcers. And cardiac & brain problems too.

Google for " Helicobacter Pylori Nobel prize " for info.

Thanks for this Chris. I have not heard of monolaurin before, but just after

Googling it found it to be a derivative of coconut oil with antiviral

properties. Sounds like good stuff for Candida too.

...I've tried Flagyl a couple times and found I was too sensitive

to this medicine. I've later learned that Lodoquinol is more effective

than Flagyl. Are you taking either of these.

Thank you for mentioning the coconut oil info.

>>>Hi all,

So my lab results are back. I had a liver test, comprehensive stool panel,

and adrenal test done. Apparently I have adrenal exhaustion (which is

causing my hypoglycemia) and an H.Pylori infection in my gut. My

Dr/nutritionalist says this is to blame for my leaky gut, food

sensitivities/reactions, Candida, and so on.

So he wants me to go on a two week protocol of antibiotics and antacid

(Pepto). Apparently taking two antibiotics @ once along with the Pepto is

the only real way to kill it.

So as you can imagine I am skeptical about taking antibiotics, but I know

other people who have gone through this treatment and emerged healed and

food sensitivities gone. I know antibiotics have their place, and maybe this

is it. He says he used to treat it (unsucessfully) with herbs etc until he

gave in and realized the hard core meds were the only way to kill it.

But I am having trouble finding info that supports his theory that H.Pylori

can be behind leaky gut, Candida, etc. Makes sense, but from what I read 1/3

of the planet has an H.Pylori infection. Most people do not exhibit

symptoms. The main health conditions I read about being associated to it are

ulcers.

Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge about H.Pylori? Any

advice? :-)

Thanks!
