Bee and others:update on burning tongue/mouth/throat............

I went to Promary Care doc today and heard what I expected. He

looked at the white film on my tongue and acknowleged yeast

infection. He also said I very likely had GERD, which I've had for

past year. Since I have BOTH issues, Bee your diet of food selection

may have to be altered for my gerd.....what differences would you

suggest....specifically.? Doc gave me same thing he did last Jan-

liquid Nystatin....1 teaspoon (or is two better) 3-4 times

daily....hold in mouth 2 minutes, gargle, and spit out OR swallow

(I'm swallowing, since I want it to get into the gut to kill yeast

there too. But I read...this is important...that once the Nystatin

reached the stomach it would be " inactive " at killing yeast....it

only is effective for mouth(this is the liquid form). Any comments

on that?

Also, he said to take it for 10 days and to see him in 2 weeks. I

recall Bee and others saying they been on antifungals (prescription

or natural) for 6 months to several years (EVERY DAY??!!).

He said I should wait to take PPI for gerd because PPI's can

ENCOURAGE over-growth of yeast....hmmmmm. Wonder if same applies to

using Nystatin with regular antacids also....he said Ny would have

an effect on acid production negatively. Comments?

Lastly, I hear everyone describing they have yeast canadiasis, but I

seem to be the only one to indicate the location of my yeast

(tongue/mouth/throat). Since most of you are ladies, am I to assume

that it is " mainly " a vaginal location with you or other areas? Just

curious. Thanks for all replies

PS....Bee, I sent you TEST emails to both addresses you gave me.
