In my experience, this is a juvenile psoriasis which will eventually become

full fledge psoriasis and result in scaly patches. You should have this looked

at, since there is a cream for this.Good Luck

Hi ,

I suggest you make an appointment and take your son to a dermatologist.

There are different types of psoriasis, including pustular psoriasis (though I'm

not saying he has this). You need a doctor to diagnose and treat his

condition.

Hello! I am fairly new to this group but have a question about my

son's psoriasis. He was put on naproxyn in August. In the last month

or so though he has developed a rash(for lack of a better word) that

are raised bumps that look like pimple's or in grown hairs. Is this a

different form of psoriasis? In the past he has just had some scaly

patches mostly a lot on his scalp and a few on his arms. Our ped

rheumy said that naproxen can make psoriasis worse. Has anyone seen

this change when starting naproxen? I apologize if this is an easy

question, the psoriasis has not been a big concern of ours over the

years. Now I'm worried that it may start becoming one.

Thanks!

For me, psoriasis is tied to my body trying to get rid of dietary

oxalates. Cutting back in foods high in oxalates helped me a lot.

Since I increased my vitamin D and started eating coconut oil, my psoriasis

and eczema are both gone.

One tried and true for many people has been liver flushes. Seems toxin load can

also issue through the skin, causing an itchy rash, perhaps " acidic lymph " is

involved. So, since the rash is alleviated with liver flushes, in those cases

the " psoriasis " was toxin load. Hope this helps.

all good,

Duncan

Hi

Psoriasis and eczema are not easy to get rid of. It is important to understand

that in the vast majority of cases they are a manifestation of toxins build-up.

The skin being the largest organ, these toxins and their by-products are

released through the skin of the sufferers .. People react differently to the

release of these toxins and their by products.

It seems that in most cases the body main filters are not functionning properly

or are " clogged " .. thus relieving the toxins load AND supplementing the

" filters " with things that help them work better is a good way to control/get

rid/cure these conditions

Thus a protocol that I suggest would be

Relieving your body of the toxins load

Hydrating the skin with good fat AND water

Control the opportunistic microorganisms that go on the skin and help cause

rash, iches and other bad things.

Help you body eliminate the toxins and function better ...

What I believe, would help in these instances:

Coconut oil both Topically and ingested. (It will do other good things too but

...)Oil of Oregano both Topically and Ingested (NOW Oil of Oregano Capsules work

very well)Olive Leaf Extract ..in capsules if possible

Undenatured Whey + Inulin + Selenium protocol. This one has multiple benefits:

Encourage your liver to function better, Help you produce Glutathione, the

master Oxydant, Inulin encourages the multiplication of the better bacteria so

that your gut is un a better state.. The " good " organism then outnumber the

" bad " (Understand that everything in your body shouldbe in balance . Eliminating

ALL the bad bacteria is not something one should (or can) do as even the " good

microorganisms " have an optimal number and are kept in check by the " bad " .

Candida Albicans for example is part of ANY human being gut flora. Its outgrowth

is the problem not its presence ... Selenium is getting rarer in the food we eat

so supplementation is important here...Of course Vitamin D since it helps the

immune system. Lot of people are missing Vitamin D.Lot of water to keep the body

hydrated and help in waste elimination ( nice way to say bowel movements).Lower

the amount of

Carbohydrates in the diet .. Will in general and in particular with an

outbreak/outgrowth of Candida Albicans .. which often manifest itself with these

Psoriasis/Eczema flare-ups ...

I am indebted to Duncan Crow for the " discovery " of the Undenatured Whey +

Inulin + Selenium protocol.. Not that he discovered it  but his constant

repetition of the protocol is worth mentioning ...

Out for now

I just want to add something I know is great to put on skin in combination with

any topical healthy oil you use to fight skin conditions. Put peroxide in a

spray bottle and spray that on for a minute first. Let it at least start to soak

in. Then put on the coconut oil. Both peroxide and coconut oil will aid in the

fight against the bacteria coming out of your skin that is causing the psoriasis

and eczema.

There are no miracle cures for skin problems. The skin is a reflection of your

internal organs and how healthy or unhealthy they are. The skin is the mirror

of what's happening in the deeper layers of the body. If your detoxification

organs (intestine, liver, kidney) are doing their proper daily job of

detoxification and they are not overburdened (congested), then the skin will

feel soft, and look beautiful. The skin is your largest elimination organ and

it'll take over the burden of elimination when your detoxification organs are

congested and cannot do their job, specifically the intestinal tract and liver.

The best cure for your skin is to clean up your diet to get your detox system

working better. Eliminate all stimulating foods (meat, sugar, salt, dairy,

white flour, junk foods, and breads). Eat fruits and vegetables and some grains

(brown rice and sprouted grain breads). Look into whole food supplements to

help with your digestive tract, and to help nourish your body and reduce

oxidative stress.

When you understand the relationship between nutrition and health, you'll

understand the miracle lies in your body and all what you have to do is feed it

well and it'll simply give you the results you want and your skin will become

radiant and healthy looking. Don't just cover up the problem with creams, etc.

– work from the inside out.

I agree with the cleanup of the body; however, that nasty ol' " dairy " myth just

reared its ugly head again so I'll reiterate that undenatured whey is one of the

most potent supplements one could take for reducing toxin load for its

glutathione precursors.

While glutathione reduces toxin load, low glutathione allows toxin load to

increase, and getting one's detox system up to snuff always involves increasing

glutathione because it IS the master molecule of detoxification.

This is proven; no myth or mystery to it. Everyone who already knew that the

" dairy " myth had been busted previously, please forgive the reiteration.

Here's a PubMed reference that may provide some understanding of the

relationship between nutrition and health that Carol mentioned, in the context

of psoriasis (another toxin load disorder?):

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17179907

" Antioxidant enzymes may be involved in the pathogenesis of the disease

[psoriasis]. The aim of this study was to evaluate the concentration of lipid

peroxidation products and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity in the blood of

patients with psoriasis before and after treatment by conventional methods.

CONCLUSIONS: The results suggest that disorders in antioxidant defense

mechanisms may play an important role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. "

Although this particular treatment was topical, depleted glutathione peridoxase

is a systemic issue, causing reactive oxygen species and disease, and lesions

can be completely depleted, thus the severe reaction and degeneration at those

points. The antioxidant defence mechanisms referred to above can be increased

with a " dairy " product, namely undenatured whey and selenium.

Undenatured whey has been used to treat psoriasis in the research:

" XP-828L, a whey protein extract, has demonstrated potential benefits for the

treatment of mild to moderate psoriasis. "

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18066141

Did I make a case yet? :)

all good,

Duncan
