I have a history of ED (since about 6 months after a vasectomy with

infection complications). Doc has diagnosed spermatocele in/on both

testicles. Lately they have been becoming inflamed more often. Motrin

brings down swelling and pain well.

Lately Levitra has been less reliable (usually VERY reliable for me).

I went to have hormones rechecked. Here are results and RR's:

T free - 6.09 (6.5-28.1)

T - 395.6 (241-827)

FSH - 1.4 (0.9 - 15)

LH - 3.4 (1.3 - 12.9)

Prolactin - 5.2 (2.1 - 17.1)

Did not check E2 but usually fine.

I have had low Free T once in the past and FSH is consistently low to

marginal. First question, any idea what makes Free T be low when T is

not terribly low? Second, question why is my FSH consistently low?

Third question, what to do? I think I could push my Doc to prescribing

TRT using a gel - we have discussed this but he is not pushing it. I

really don't want to have to deal with testicular atrophy, breasts,

acne, hair growth, etc if I don't have to. Doc says I COULD try for a

few months to see effect and then go off if effect does not warrant

side effects.

While I know I have been down this road here before, any opinions would

be helpful...

Thanks a bunch -
