My son had a belly ache right after I gave him his 2nd dose of probiotic. I

tried it to see how I felt as I have never used it before and also had a belly

ache. After a few days it subsided. Maybe her system just needs to adjust. I did

lower my sons dose and worked up slowly. He is fine with it now. No more belly

ache

[ ] Probiotics cause stomach aches??

I have started giving my 5 year old Ther-Biotic Complete one cap every

day per her doctor. Tonight I gave it to her 1 hour before bedtime and

now she is complaining her stomach hurts. Could the probiotic be the

cause? I do not know what to do for her. Thanks..

Yes!!! Pros can cause terrible stomachaches if they are intolerant of

them. My sons and I got terrible gut aches for a long time before we

could even think about taking pros. Also I would check the ingredients

that are in the pros and see if there is anything in there that might

be the problem.

If there is not....you might need to lots of yeast killing and biotin

before pros will be tolerated. Dana has some excellent info on how

she used biotin to help regrow the microphages in her son's gut with

biotin. My kiddos are taking large dose biotin and is helping some

with yeast...and we are doing virus protocol at the moment.

I would either reduce the dose to maybe an 1/4 or less if you want to

try again...and if there is still tummy issues, I might try clay or

charcoal or possibly slippery elm. Those are what we use for tummy

trouble. If you try again and reduce and still have issues, I would

think about doing the biotin and candex and whatever else....for a

while...then try later again adding in the pros....that's what we had

to do.

It might. My son never really did tolerate probiotics. I used biotin

instead.
