Re: B vitamins , mercury - Dana?

Another question, Dana.

You mentioned that taking one or a few of the B

vitamins (but not all at once) can deplete the rest.

I'm wondering what I should know; I/we don't tolerate

B vitamins in combination. Right now the liquid B12

(in glass vials, from liver extract - no-name) and B6

seem really good for me and my son. I'm also using

folic acid concurrently.

If, as I suspect, most of the minerals/trace elements

are out of balance (some pretty strong evidence in

this case that mercury toxicity has been/is a

problem), where do you suggest starting with vitamins?

(ie while using NCD to gently chelate, which

apparently takes time)

I'm using trace elements in solution, but am not

having as much success with finding the range of B

vitamins that test well for any of us.

(BTW, eTouch for Health is a system of muscle testing

that has been very helpful for some people. I bought

the CD online. We also use muscle testing for

assessing which dental freezing and filling is

tolerable for each of us. It takes a willing dentist

but it's been a good method for us to circumvent

unexpected negative reactions)

Also, I read somewhere that testing urine for mercury

can be more revealing than blood. If one did a urine

test specifically for mercury, how likely is it, in

your opinion, to show the actual problem?

Are the general urine tests (ie the cheap ones) any

good? I understand that if there are a few metals at

the same concentration, the results can show grey

first, making it impossible to read accurately. Is

that more likely to happen in the presence of mercury

plus another metal?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer,

Margaret

The most common problem that I have read about, is B12 depleting B2.

Most of the time, it is recommended to take at least USRDA of the

other Bs, so if you give a standard multivitamin, that should be fine.

Mercury is only in the blood for about 3 months after exposure, so

testing blood will only give you info on recent exposures. A urine

challenge test can give you info on past exposures, altho mercury is

usually the last metal to come out. You can consider a hair test

Maybe 50%, if it is a challenge test [which does have its own set of

problems also].

I don't know.

Mercury is usually the last metal to come out.
