HI Maureen,

I am sorry you got a rash and it did not help. I will keep your post and make sure that others know. Just like anything else, it does not work for everyone, but I want to get the info out there as an option in case it may help someone. So far it seems to help a majority. I wonder if the soap you used has something in there that does not agree with your skin when it stays on a while, or if it is just soap in general that your skin is having a problem. I think typically soap would have a drying effect on skin.

Sorry it did not work out for you.

My best

Aletha

The soap thing was mentioned on Goodshape's or Dave's before it was ever mentioned here. At that time it was ONLY Ivory soap, not any type except Dove or Dial. I never figured out where that part came from. It didn't work for me. Not even liquid Ivory. My dog just thought I was hiding a toy in the bed! Marcie Aletha Wittmann <Aletha@...> wrote: HI

Hi Marcie,

It seemed that some people did not have Ivory and they tried whatever brand they did have available and it worked for them. Sooner or later you kind of get a consensus on what works for a majority of people and you post it so that others can get help from it. I have over 30 saved posts regarding the "soap trick" with people that it did help and about 7 with people that reported it did nothing for them.

Before it was on Goodshape, it was on a doctors column in the newspapers. The doctor stated that this soap thing was helpful to most people for pain. Then many people replied that they tried it and it worked for them. The doctor even stated that he did not know why it worked.

I hope that answers your inquiry. I wish it had been helpful for you. I will save your post too as it did not seem to work for you and others would like to know what reactions have take place for those that have tried it before them.

Kindest of regards

Aletha

Hello My name is Anne. I do not have MS. I merely try to help others.

What I wanted to mention is:

For tingly feelings in the legs;such as pain; cramping; restless

legs; I understand *Vitamin B12 Sub-linguals to be effective.

However one must realize; the Vitamin B12 takes time to reverse the

symptons; so be patient allow atleast 60 days of Vitamin B12 sub-

linguals or even pills if you want. Hot-warming pads help also; or

use a hot-water bottle filled with water and Espsom's salt on legs.

Another helpful Vitamin for this is: *Vitamin B6 avial. over counter.-

Even more effective is Magnesium + B6 and vitamin E.

it does take some time, so take them daily. Magnesium is best in liquid form.

Soap vs. Detergent

To add to the mix of variables, many " soaps " are actually

detergents. Soap like " Zest " is a detergent, sort of like shampoo.

Soaps like " Kirks Hard Water Castile " are really old fashioned soap.

There are a couple of ways to make soap. The old fashioned lye soap

is made by adding sodium hydroxide (red devil drain cleaner) to a

fat like lard or tallow.

In addition to my LDN, I put a bar of Kirk's Hard Water Castile in

my bed. The results are undeterminable.
