I just wanted to know if there any natural remedies for

neurosarcoidosis or some of its symptoms. I have headaches, vision

problems, lack of energy, sinusitis, from NueroSarc and acid reflex,

aching joints from prednisone. Is there anything that I can do to

relief any of these?

Just asking because prednisone has so many side effects.

Shauna, I have all those problems and I am not on prednisone. Sarc itself can cause all those problems. You almost have to see a specialist for each problem. My ENT covers the nose and throat problems, an eye specialist will cover the vision, a rheumatologist the joints(...please try MSM), headaches... a neurologist, or allergist, etc. My major headaches were relieved somewhat when put on Blood pressure medicine. Lack of energy or exhaustion is a major sarc complaint. Pace yourself with activities, eat as best you can, add the vitamins you can tolerate, sleep as best you can. Bring 'down' the activity/expectations level. I don't think I will ever be able to do what I did before getting sick, but pacing myself...and asking for help....I still get stuff done. Sometimes not as much or as well as I used to but that's the breaks. An

acid-reducing med may help and cutting down on those foods that irritate it. Alot of people with sarc have troubles with their digestion. I am on a pretty bland diet. I miss certain foods but it's just not worth the pain and time down. There are some Nerve supplements that are out there. I've tried Nerve Formula by Trivita. It has alot of B-12 in it which alot of us need who are under extra stresses. Just a simple thing like keeping the heat warmer than most people can keep some of my muscle pain at bay. Keep the faith and read over some of the posts and you'll get some ideas of the many things others have tried. hugs S. Shauna,

I know that many of us have tried different things to handle the sarc-- and not had much success. You do need to be careful with herbs and such as they can fortify the immune system, and this being an auto-immune disease, our immune systems are in hyperdrive.

I have had luck with MSM Powder from PUREMSM.COM for the bone and sarc induced arthritis. I use the Sinus Rinse for the nasal congestion, along with Guafinesin (Mucus Relief) for the lung and chest congestion.

If you have a good Health Food Store where the staff is well-trained-- I'd go there and talk with someone.

If you are on prednisone, know that you will have to TAPER OFF SLOWLY! oTHERWISE, YOU could end up in adrenal insufficiency- and that would make the rest of the stuff seem like a cakewalk.

Take care,

Tracie
