Still going and going and going (after 2nd cardioversion)

Hello to all,

This is mostly for members who have had electro cardio conversion. It will

be two months since my second cardio conversion and so far so good. I'm

wondering if I dare hope that I will stay in NSR. My two post cardioversion

ECGs have been good -- my cardiologist says " perfect " .

What has been the experience of others that have had one or more

conversions? My first one was right after my maze operation last May and did

not produce any results. How long did you stay in NSR?

I am now off warfarin, but have not been told to take aspirin. I am 66 and

my first experience with AFIB was one year ago. After many exhasutive tests

my doctors all told me there is no structural problem with my heart and I

have only very mild arterial clogging. My blood pressure is well controlled

with Diavan and Diltiazem. I also take Lipitor and thyroid supplementation.

I think my stamina has improved, but I still have some fatigue and shortness

of breath when exerting myself. I also experience balance problems. I have

not had any recurrance of chest pain post conversion.

Any information is appreciated.

Regards,

Rich
