You'll have to try the protein drinks & find one that works best for you.

www.bariatriceating.com has some that tastes pretty darn good. Unfortunately I

can't drink them. I think that's what gave me my rash problems. But they are

very tastey! And they have a sample pack you can buy to try different ones &

find some you like.

What kind of medications will you have to take? I think you're advised against

pills. Chewables or liquids are preferred. But, on that note...I took a pill

for 7 days after surgery to help keep my stomach from getting irritated. I

would be sure to take a list of your medications to the surgeon so they can help

you.

Try Whey< I love the chocolate. It is sold at Walmart. I use fat free milk, mix

it with a blender to get it smooth then add ice. I like it very cold but don't

let it sit long they do tend to get thicker the longer they sit.

I am still pre-op but I discussed meds with my Doctor. I was told that most

come in liquid; those that don't can be crushed....BUT: It isn't not available

in a liquid and is a time release (like Wellbutrin XL, or Oxycontin, etc) it

CAN NOT be crushed because it's coating is made to deliver it gradually.

Hi

I still have to take my Synthroid, have to break this in half because

it is oblong.I take a tiny water pill. Also have to take Zantac for

stomach acid prevention.I don't have problems with them.I was made

to crush them all for the 1st 2 weeks after surgery. Also my Surgeon

does NOT permit capsules. She had to operate on 3 people in who they

had got stuck in the part that leaves the stomach to the intestine

which is very small.

I ordered samples from the www.vitalady.com & my office also gave me

www.unjury.com samples to try. These were VERY good, but a bit more

expensive.Right now I am using the 5 Star from Wal-Mart,Choc &

Vanilla & I add different thing for a variety of tastes like, decaf

coffee,SF powder creamer,SF DaVinci syrups ( they sell them at Wal

mart) and various extract flavors like coconut, hazlenut, mint, etc.

Hope this helps you!
