shaking hands and HE

Hi All,

On the subject of shaking, confusion and forgetfulness:

Besides HE and elevated amonia, all of these symptoms can also occur due to depleted stores of vitamin B12. I have pernicious anemia, diagnosed in 02/2000, and these were my symptoms along with cardiac arrhythmias and electrolyte imbalance. I take sublingual B12 daily and I give myself an intramuscular injection of 1000mcg of B12 once a month. No more shaking, jittery feeling. Only rare palpitations. Folks with IBD can lose lots of valuable nutrients due to malabsorbtion and frequent stools. Do you think it might be a good idea to check the B12 levels as well?
