Trixie, I have a very good LLMD who uses the latest culture testing. She is in CA. If you want her info, e mail me directly. I did not see that you have a good LLMD. I think since it's been 8 weeks since the bite, you probably should see an LLMD - that does not mean that I agree with her whole long-term abx methods for everyone approach, but she is "integrative" so she understands herbal treatments fairly well, AND, at this early stage, perhaps her abx methods are right for you I do not know, let me know if you want the info, Debbie Gravois

LYME and Bartonella rashs, need doctor recommendation

Hi, I am new here. My 6.5 year old son was bit by a lyme tick about 8 weeks ago. After developing a bullseye rash his doctor put him on a 21 day round of Augementin. 2 weeks after we finished that he got what I discovered is a Bartonella rash. So for the past 5 days he has been on both Augmentin and Azithromycin, he will be on both of those for a month going forward. He has no other symptoms as yet. My doctor is a general pediatrician so he has recommended that we see a Lyme/ tick bite specialist. We are in Hoboken and we can go into NYC are anywhere in the area.Does anyone have any recommendations for a specialist. My son has a diagnosis of mild aspergers as well, but so far there haven't been any phychological symptoms.Thank you! I am very worried and want to get on this ASAP!!!Trixie
