I used to take it. It worked good in the beginning but now I have more pain

it is an anti inflammatory drug.... to decrease inflammation. I took it for a

while but it was so expensive I stopped it. But what i dont understand is why

they say fibro is not an inflammatory disease but they prescribe anti

inflammatory drugs. I hope it does help you.

take care.... debra

My doctor also gave this to me, but it says to use extreme caution if you

have high blood pressure, and I do....so I havent taken it yet.

Anyone else on it that has high blood pressure? Any side effects from it for

you?

I also have GERD...and I see it can cause GI problems...another reason I was

afraid to take it.

I would love to hear back from anyone on this also.

I've been taking Mobic for about three years and have had really good

luck with it. I have moderately high blood pressure, but it is

controlled with a beta blocker called Toprol. The combination of these

two has really helped me. The thing to be careful about with the Mobic

is not to take any aspirin or Ibuprofin with it. Tylenol is ok - so my

combo for really bad pain days is Hydrocodone and the Mobic twice a

day. Recently I tried switching out the hydrocodone with Darvocet but

for me the Darvocet just doesn't cut the pain the way the hydrocodone

does.

Mobic isn't just an " anti inflamatory " it is actually what they call a

2 inhibiter. It has become popular as other 2 inhibitors have

been taken off the market (Viox and Celebrex)due to heart issues. If I

understand it correctly the 2 inhibitors block your perception of

pain in the brain in addition to reducing the inflamation sometimes

causing the pain. In FMS, I would think they use it more for the

blocking perception than the anti inflamation aspect.
