Hi! Does anyone here suffer from vertigo? My mother has terrible vertigo spells...right now she cannot left her head off the pillow. I think it's a symptom of being toxic--any thoughts?

Suzy,

Been there w/the allergies and the vertigo. I am taking allergy shots, but

been having problems w/them so they will retest. They help me and yes lyme

is worse w/allergies. I was so dizzy I couldn't do anything.

Yes, I had fluid in ears and constant sinus inf, which is antoher lyme

symptom. I suggest you get allergy testing.

-- [ ] vertigo

Has anyone experienced vertigo (full room spinning or just woozey)

with Lyme? I was diagnosed with lyme a few months ago, yet I know I

have had it for more than 15 years. I have always struggled with

allergies. The vertigo would get worse during these allergy

seasons. Yet, antihistamines, antibiotics and herbal remedies have

never helped. The walls and the floor move at all times and some

intervals of spins. Recently, I experienced the worst vertigo

ever. I finally found a vertigo specialist who diagnosed me with

Benign Positional Vertigo (which means the crystals in the middle

ear detach). The treatment was a manipulation of the head to guide

the crystals back in place(not fun). It worked, but only for a

while. The Physical therapist said that most poeple are fixed after

one or two visits, but not me. I have read the post on Dr.

Shoemaker's protocol and wonder if maybe it is the nasal infection.

I would so appreciate any tips or suggestions. I am in another

battle with the spins again (hayfever season?). I cannot tilt my

head at all or I will be thrown to the floor. I especially cannot

tilt my head forward. Even looking down causes the spin. I feel as

though I have fluid in my ears or head. I have tried everything I

know for sinuses. I once did 6 weeks of antifungal (diflucan 200mg)

because I thought it was candida. I am on Mepron and Zithro for

over a month, so it can't be an infection, right?

Suzy,

I feel your pain, I had have the terrible vertigo also, wouldn't wish it on my

worst enemy.

The first spell was 11yrs ago (have had lyme 30+, dx 6ys ago) They were trying

to blame it on " MS: " I got 13 yrs ago (really lyme) After 4hrs of awful

testing (you know) They said " Well, it is not MS, just some strange

inflammation that has caused 60% inner ear nerve damage, we don't know " So,

they gave me head ex. to retrain my brain/inner ear to relearn the movements.

I was hoping the test would show your type of vertigo but.........Anyway, it

took a month of ex to recover, but I am still not normal with my balance. Had a

second spell right before the lyme dx 6yrs ago. They told me not to take any

nausea/motion sickness meds because it would stop my brain from

relearning/recovering. The abx (for lyme) has/did help, still feel it coming

on once in awhile, I feel pressure in that ear sometimes (inflammation) I

started putting Soverign silver (Best CS on the market) in the ear which helps

stop it from getting worse. So, yes, you may have the crystals but could also

have inflammation (which affects the inner ear nerve) from the lyme.

Good Luck

Suzy I have vertigo it keeps me from high places, even to step out of

an elevator where there is a glass wall looking out causes me to

have severe dizzy spells. Sometimes when I move my head to look at

someone or something it causes me to have allmost like a electric

shock efect making it hard to focus and sometimes causes nausea.

Hi Suzy,

Vertigo is one of the horrible problems I experienced with Lyme. It would

hit and terrify me as well as make you feel horrible. The worst was a hot

summer day I bent over to get something from under my car........I came up but

didn't " come up " for almost 12 hours later. I had to lay down each time I

tried to get up the floor was not where it should be the walls, etc., it was

awful. I've experienced it to lesser degrees but each time very hard to deal

with. Never had it before.

I do have very bad allergies also. I tried antivert, prescription then

later something to calm nerves like xanax, and found just

antihistimine/decongestent helped, aslo a cold wash cloth, dark room and quiet,

but for me I had to

just lay there' till I could get up! I have no idea.

I was diagnosed with CFIDS then Lyme, not sure why always felt like you ears

full, allergies are bad this year. But somehow I don't think that's all

there is to it. It just hits when it wants, thank God not too often. It's a

horrible symptom.

Hi Suzy,

I have had bouts of extreme vertigo since contracting Lyme 26 years ago. I

had all the tests and nothing unusual showed up. In November last year I

went into the biggest relapse. I would only have to stretch in bed and as

soon as my head went back, the room would spin. I was back to using a

walking frame to get out of bed and I had several falls. It was so awful.

Then 13 weeks ago I went on the salt & vitamin C protocol at

www.Lymephotos.com <http://www.lymephotos.com/> and honestly, within 3 days

the headspins were gone! I am doing really well on this treatment and am

hardly dizzy at all now.

Regards,

Rosemary.

I hve had such bad vertigo, I would just fall over. However that was

pretty much only when I was in a major herx. I still have balance problems

, always had wonderfull balance. A big help is I ride horses and have one

that I can set into a circle that she will follow so I can close my eyes and

flow w/her. I used to only be able to keep my eyes closed a few seconds, now

its minutes, but I am constantly checking myself, it is in no means a

relaxed , balanced ride. DO you have access to horses or a riding

program?

I do not have access to horses at this time and money is a big problem right

now. I am also highly allergic to horses. What is it that you were suggesting

about riding?

With riding you have to use all your muscles, its amazing how many. I

found that with riding I have been able to greatly improve my balance.

Since you are allaergic, maybe get one of those large exercise balance balls

and try sitting on it, bet it would work in close the same way.

That sounds like a good idea. I do feel like I have lost all of my muscle tone

in the last few years due to lack of exercise from the fatigue.

Suzy, I did yoga for a bit and loved it! While it was hard to start, it

was fun. I dont hve any videos of it, probably would do it now if I did, I

did it along with a tv show, only did what I could and found that rapidly I

could do more. Maybe worth looking into as well.

I'm replying to Sheila Holenda's email.

My husband has been having debilitating vertigo attacks for the past year.

Initially written off by his physician as an inner-ear disturbance, he was

finally diagnosed with Menier's disease. He was taking Antivert without much

success, and also meds for high blood pressure and cholestorol and diabetes.

Everything made him sick. The vertigo attacks would come on quite suddenly

without warning and he couldn't do anything but be sick.

Hi finally saw a specialist who prescribed an antiviral med for him last January

and right away the attacks stopped. Even 2 months later, when he stopped taking

the meds, he was fine and stayed fine until about 3 weeks ago when it all

started again. The doctor says it was due to stress and he also has a bronchial

infection.

Do question your physician about any bronchial/inner-ear problems to rule out

Menier's.

Best Wishes,

e van Gils

Type it into the search box and then also work on the cranial nerves and the ear as both are often involved.

Hi,

I suffered from vertigo for 9 mths. Zap for viruses. Mine was caused by a virus damaging cranial nerve 5 & 8. Treat craninal nerves on QX, I took 2000micrograms of B12 (for nerve repair), Co enzyme Q10 & gingko. There is also a BP physical maneuver whereby a neurologist inverts your body upside down, then reinverts you for 24-36hrs. This is only applicable if crystals have settled on the cilia of the ear canal.maharanidm <ritustuff@...> wrote:

Hi Ritu,

I too suffered from vertigo for many years off and on and it was caused by several factors: 1.) damage to my eardrum, which ozone and then qx helped repair (the doctors said I needed an eardrum transplant but that I would have to wait because they didn't know how to perform that procedure yet- THANKFULLY, ha!) 2.) car accident/ blow to the head that damaged the nerves and tiny bones in the ear (lost part of the hearing in that ear- disrupted equilibrium) 3.) root canal and the underlying infection that was not resolved by the root canal procedure alone, and which spread to the weakened ear area, 4.) life issues involving sounds and words.

Those were some strange years- having to remain still in order to maintain any equilibrium at all (the stillness being part of what I needed). It was one of the factors that drove me to study hypnotherapy and silva mind control, and when I had a flare ups would do self hypnosis/silva mind control and it always helped, if not alleviated it entirely (but temporarily until I got to the bottom of all the causes). I would go to alpha, sometimes theta, use the mental screen technique of putting my ear problem on the screen and repairing the picture (usually by erasing the damage from my eardrum and creating a healthy drum, reconnecting the nerves and bones, and detaching from life issues that involved words and sounds, creating some silence in my life.) If you do any work on the QX for the nerves and ear, I would suggest creating an alpha or theta state and coupling the QX work with those visualizations, the subconscious likes a roadmap of what to do to repair the body, and a picture can tell a thousand words.

I still had flareups off and on after I did all the major work on it, and had to address the other factors in the ear, such as the infection, bones and nerves which were still reactive on the QX. Do consider that if you are not getting results, that several causes may be involved, all of which can be addressed. As I said before, there was also an infection problem (root canal), and using Dr. Recommends amoeba fuge helped a lot. Amoeba: smart, fast and mobile. Because I found amoeba in the ear on the QX (ear infection came up in the matrix one day when I was having a flareup, I dragged and dropped it into the yellow tray, ran against the matrix, then looked in homotoxicology- amoeba reacted on both searches), I put the point probe in my ear and zapped amoeba and got IMMEDIATE relief. My hearing improved dramatically from that one session alone, and in a way that did not involve an uncomfortable adjustment period. You have to stay on top of where it has traveled in the process of getting rid of it.

The other factor was looking for the isode stressors on the nerves, and radiation was reactive. Not a small wonder, considering that cordless phones give off as much radiation if not more than cellphones. Years of using a cordless phone on the ear without protection did not help. If there is anything I'm a bit emphatic about, it's using radiation protection on phones and detoxing radiation- it a problem in our polluted world and often overlooked. (BTW, the recipe for the radiation detox bath includes drinking lots of water before and after, and it's no joke, don't skip that part unless you like kidney/ lower back pain.)

The ear, though, is one of the senses that we perceive our world through, and if the information hitting it is beyond what the subconscious is prepared to manage, that's a clue that the subconscious is asking for a little help in sorting it out and getting it into the conscious mind (creating awareness surrounding an overload of possibly conflicting information). So do run vertigo or the Narayani formula for vertigo against emotions and do some NLP work around those.

Hope that helps,

Gage

I referred to the Narayani formula for Vertigo below and realized it's the formula (NV).... also, even though I used the probe on my ear, I did not place it deeply in the ear, just outside of the ear canal, which was enough, not invasively in the ear... Gage

Hi Jacki, the "BP physical maneuver" invert process you described below is very interesting, would you mind sharing some specifics on it? I'm wondering if we could achieve the same results using the QX somehow. Also, what are the crystals? I've run the item for ear sclerosis (calcification of the ear tissues) and wondering if that's addressing the same thing. Thanks, Gage

I suffered severe vertigo on and off for years. There have been various reasons it kicks on: exposure to MSG seasoning; autoimmune response;low blood sugar. A cranial suture point may alleviate the worst symptom (and it probably would be a different point for each person - A car wreck with a hit to the head started the very first episode.) Working with emotional response to injury helps...homeopathics are also helpful. As you have probably discovered, what works for one, doesn't always work for everyone, so we keep looking for that one key for that one person, realizing it may be many keys. Good luck.

Carol's answer is so correct, what works for one, doesn't always work for another. My major relief comes from manipulation (chiropractic), also caused from a car accident whenever my Occiput, C1, C2 or C3 goes out the vertigo comes. Working on the inner ear (which is often the major problem with others) help some for me but not enough. It requires a manipulation which removes the pressure on the cranial nerves which have gotten pinched and everything straightens out (instantaneously). The other thing not to forget is that kidney issues can cause disturbances with the ears. And how is the emotions for "wanting to hear?"

Yes, my son, has had several

surgeries for cholesteatoma removal. The worst side effect is the dizziness. The

ENT has said he cannot help with the dizziness and imbalance that the ear looks

fine. is now 19 years old and it is contstant. We are going to University

of Virginia Medical Hospital for a neurological evaluation before the first of

the year. They also have a balance clinic. We pray we will get some answers.

My recommendation is to keep searching for

answers as we are. I will post the results of our search at UVA.

My son had cholesteatoma surgery October 18, 2006. He

is 21 years old.

He had some dizziness post op but since then has gotten progressively

worse. He has been back to the ENT that performed the surgery and he

says everything is looking great and he sees no reason for the

dizziness. He has sent us back for another CT scan with contrast. This

was normal. We have been to an ophthamologist. Again everything is

normal. We had a consult with a neurologist this am. He is sending us

for an MRI. This is the only side effect that he has had but as I said

before it has gotten progressively worse since the surgery. He is now

to the point of having to use a cane to walk. Any one else have this

problem or know what might be going on? Any help/ifo would be greatly

appreciated.

There is something called " Benign Positional Vertigo. " I was not

dizzy when I first had a c-toma removed 10 years ago, but it began

about 10 months afterwards. I asked the otologist about my diziness

and he tried out the procedure for getting rid of the BPV and it

worked. It is a simple procedure. It has to do with particles being on

the wrong side of something in the inner ear, I think. You can do a

search on it and find out more. I have learned to do the positioning

procedure on myself when it happens.

I am not saying that this is what is bothering your son, but it is

worth checking out.

I've got the same symptoms and the symptoms have gotten progressively worse since starting. also increases the nauseau, in other words I am uncomfortable. One good thing, when I am able to eat, I eat healthy, so I am loosing weight. Surgery scheduled for the 8th. That should take care of most of the problems. When are you having surgery?Hi Miriam

Not me (thank goodness) that is coming up to surgery but Colleen. Anyway I do wish you all the success for a good surgery and an easy recovery. The last week of waiting is always hard on the nerves isn't it? I hope the vertigo sorts out too.

Phil
