I only eat chicken and venison. Both very lean meats.

No bacon, beef, etc.

This is an example of one of my meals. STILL alot of carbs for what I

ate, the whipping cream while low in carbs is higher in calories for

weight loss diets but that is what I use in my coffee. The amount is

what I put in 2 cups. The mayo, pineapple and cabbage is cole slaw.

,

That doesn't surprise me at all. Many supplements have other things

in them, plus even vitamins or minerals in excess can be a problem.

When they synthetically isolate a vitamin, it's basically the same as

a chemical in how it acts in the body. That's why the best sources

are made from whole foods.

If you're already dealing with kidney or liver problems, you'll be

the first to notice problems as these are the primary organs for

eliminating wastes from the body. I've found that the headaches I

used to get were tied to my liver. When I started taking milk

thistle and other things to cleanse the liver, my headaches went away.

I cannot eat 'normally' without gaining weight. And when I say normally I

Now your base metabolism is set lower than when you started in the

I don't understand this .

You may also be having more thyroid/adrenal issues now than then,

since your having trouble getting re-stabilized, and that's going to

Can you think back to when you started lowering your h/c and armour.

Which did you lower first and by how much. Where were you in your

dosing when you were losing weight?

As Val said you need enough h/c for the armour to be effective.

I'm betting that when you were on a higher dose of both was when you

were losing weight.

You really need to keep a diary (says she who often starts one but

never keeps it up)

Hey Val - how are you getting 20 grams of carbohydrate from a pure

rib roast meal (assuming you are not counting veggies or any

extraneous ingredients such as breading, sauces, etc)? Even cooked

with various herbs & sauces, carbs aren't usually more than 1-4:

http://www.atkins.com/recipes/r/rosemary-garlic-beef-rib-roast-354

http://www.luciesfarm.com/artman/publish/article_17.php

http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/carbcounter/meat.shtml

Pure meat doesn't have carbs (search for roast under Beef Products,

for example):

http://www.carbohydrate-counter.org/advsearch.php

Meat products, processed meats, cured meats, sauces & such may.

> you would be amazed at how many carbs are actually in meats! I am

learning this as I zam weighing everything I eat and have a

spreadsheet which I out in the weight and it tells me exactly how

many carbs is in each item... My 3 strips of bacon this morning had

8.6 grams of carbs! My two slices of rib roast for dinner yesterday

had 21.03 grams! Shocking huh? Of course neither is particularly

lean meats but still. It has alot more than you might think.

because by being on enough adrenal support it allows the thyroid to

enter the cells and the thyroid entering the cells raises the

metabolism which allows you to lose weight.

Cravings are a side effect of getting MSG and HFCS in any type of

processed food. Insulin resistance can be caused by eating the wrong

types of fats, in particular transfatty acids. If you remove those

from the diet along with the MSG and HFCS, the insulin resistance

should get better or even disappear.

Mo,

I am very sorry you're going through this - it is miserable, I know, because

I'm going through a very similar scenario. I honestly believe it's a matter

of getting over the " hump " and getting things " just right " , and then we'll

be looking back on it, and it will be crystal clear and make sense.

Laughing about it? LOL I'm not sure I'd go that far!

My best guess is that our adrenals are not stabilizing because of stress and

because we are hypoT, and yet we can't really address the hypoT until our

adrenals are more stabilized. It's rather like sea-sawing! But I'm

thinking that the key REALLY is to first stabilize the adrenals.

Then again, I'm new at this AND in a brain-fog, so what do I know?

Hope you break through to the other side soon,

Liz
