Very convenient.

I still haven't made it to B'ham to use my new costco card! I promised

I'd take him and see if they had those Digital piano's. He want's to

see

if they are like the ones the school is using. I need to go to B'ham anyway

and use my Target card gift card and get a new printer for the comp. Mine is

dying a slow and noisy death. Heck the thing is over 13 yrs old, it probably

needs to be put out of it's misery! I got it with my 1st computer MANY, MANY

years ago! It has been a good one. I'd recommend a HP printer any day.

Hey, I hate these hives! I get hives on my feet, hands and

forearms. I get them from pressure, like if I carry a box to the

garage, when I set it down I might get a welt where the edge of the

box cut into my forearm. So, I am also allergic to cleaning house.

Very convenient.

The reason I got hives on my feet was because I was barefoot and

there were ridges on the pedals. Next time I will wear tennies and

won't get hives.

It just doesn't sound as amusing when I explain it, huh? lol

Nope, you are not the only ones!

If Ray rubs my back I get hives everywhere he touches me, if I carry

groceries in the house I get hives (huge welts that look like cat scratches) up

and

down my arms. My bra, my underwear, the tag in my shirt, ANYTHING that

touches my skin leaves welts that itch and burn. I even get hives on my fingers

when I read a book or magazine! Pressure on the feet from the ridges on a bike

or the gas pedal in the truck also cause it, hell, like Marta pressure from a

box on my arm as well! Once I get one welt others quickly follow!

Almost anything that touches my skin (including dust and rubber or latex

gloves) causes them and they are miserable! I live on Claritin or Benadryl but

neither prevent them, they only help relieve the itching somewhat!

With me what gets scary is that when I have a really bad case of hives

(looks like ant bites from head to toe as well as long welts) I also have

difficulty breathing. I tend to get really tight in the chest and I wheeze, so

I

carry my EpiPen everywhere with me just in case I need it. As for the itching -

all I have found that helps is Cortisone cream and/or sprays.

Strangely enough my hives and itching started AFTER my DS! I am clueless as

to what caused it, I am just trying to find a way to live with it!

HUGS!

I thought I was the only one with this problem. Mine started about 10

mos after my DS. Never had them before, but dont know why I have them

now. I get them anywhere I put pressure. My arms, even from my purse

strap, my thighs when i wear a compression garment, sometimes even

when I wear a tight bra.

Do you know why you get them? They usually go away within an hour or

so of showing up. But can be tormenting.

Sharon in Onyx

who can also get them after rubbing in lotion, not from the lotion,

but from the rubbing.

Sharon,

well, I never thought they had anything to do with the DS, but I

remember when they started or when I noticed them for the first time.

It was fall, two years ago. I have had a history of hives to several

things like penicillin, cephalosporins, and environmental things, but

never to touch. I just assumed it was my bad luck. Trust me, I have

researched this! lol Finally, I figured it is just my fate so I take

loratidine daily (cheap and does not cross the blood-brain barrier).

I do not worry about dying from it and if I can ignore the intense

itching for thirty minutes, they go away.

I sounds like you have the same thing. I am just really careful about

pressure on my skin and rubbing, stuff like that. I learned the hard

way not to scratch! Zowie! Talk about swelling and burning flames of

hell! Cool packs do help, though. Zyrtec is fantastic, but makes me

sleepy so I save it for night, if needed.

Cindee has them worse than me also.

The ones I hate the most are the ones on the palms of my hands. They

I hate them!!!

The others I can tolerate,
