The injection form is expensive (compared to pill form)and as far as I

know, they all have to be mixed. Once mixed, the shelf life is only

two days, then has to be discarded. Solumedrol comes in the smallest

vial 40 ml. Largest that I have heard of is 500 ml.

1 ml of solucortef equals 1 mg of cortef, 1 ml solumedrol equals 1 mg

Medrol.

So to mix it up for to carry with you (has to be refrigerated after

mixing), being would only last two days would be very expensive and

not practical.
