I did find the webpage where I got the info...

http://patients.uptodate.com/print.asp?print=true & file=endo_hor/3060

vial 40 ml. Largest that I have heard of is 500 ml.

1 ml of solucortef equals 1 mg of cortef, 1 ml solumedrol equals 1 mg

Medrol.

So to mix it up for to carry with you (has to be refrigerated after

mixing), being would only last two days would be very expensive and

not practical.

If there is something I don't know here, please let me know.

Hi If it's anything like the Glucagon Injection kit for diabetic hypoglecemic emergencies (when the patient is so low they cannot be fed food or juice), you don't have to mix it to carry it with you. It sounds like it may be. The Glucogon kit is made in two parts, a vial and a syringe. The syringe contains one part, the vial the other; you draw off the vial into the syringe to mix them, before you use them. The whole thing comes in a hard carry case, to protect the contents while travelling, etc. hth ~ mk :) wrote: The injection form is expensive (compared to pill form)and as far as Iknow, they all have to be mixed. There is also an epipen for allergic reactions that is good for a year. My growth hormone shots come in a syringe with a cellophane partition that separates the powder from the liquid. You twist the plunger to mix and then inject.
