Or.. does it just help make the lumps go away..or does it help lessen

the pain of the nodules/lumps? (LUCKILY, my lumps do not hurt and I do

not want to take Prednisone if that's all it would do for me. My worst

symptom is extreme fatigue) THANKS!!

I have the extreme fatigue, and also take prednisone for some sarcoid issues. I try and taper off as soon as possible, as it makes you feel super while on it, but it has numerous side effects..... I have taken prednisone and it immediately makes me feel better. It

lasts as long as you take it, both energy wise and bumps. However, as

soon as you stop, everything comes right back. It's kinda scary. I

am afraid of the side effects too. I have extreme fatigue and get

shots of " Aranesp " for the fatigue. They help. Have you had your

Iron checked? Maybe you're anemic like me. Good Luck!

Thanks for responding Maile! I am sorry you have this! You don't

know how much I appreciate this information. I am learning more on

this website from patients than from my doctor. ( is doing a

great service here managing this group.) I understand that doctors

can't take a lot of time with each patient, but they usually make me

feel so rushed that I just give up on my questions. I am going to

google " Aranesp " now. I will also mention checking my iron when I go

back in. Thanks again!!!! Hope

This is the 4th time I've had EN. The previous times I basically just

waited it out until it went away on it's own. This time the doc

prescribed Prednisone. I've been on it 5 days so far and feel great.

My joints don't hurt, the swelling in my ankles is almost gone (I have

ankle bones again!), and the knots on my shins don't hurt anymore.

Tomorrow, I start a lower dose to ween myself off of it. I guess I'll

see what happens. I appreciate the warnings everyone has given. At

least if everything comes back, I'll be be ready for it I guess. Gail
