Elevated Liver Enzymes & Powerlifting

Does anyone have any experience with elevated liver enzymes associated

with resistance training/powerlifting?

My AST and ALT levels have been in the " slightly elevated " range

recently, but all of the testing has occurred during powerlifting meet

preparation training cycles.

AST has ranged between 54-72 (0-40 being the 'normal' range),

ALT has ranged between 63-125 (0-55 being the 'normal' range).

Alcohol intake is minimal-averaging less than one drink/week, no

Anabolic-Androgenic Steroid use, no acetaminophen use, negative for

hepatitis, ultrasound shows no symptoms of fatty liver disease.

I have found a few studies that look at hepatic enzyme levels after

strenuous endurance exercise, but very little in relation to resistance

exercise.

Thank you in advance.
