Hi Amy;

I'm afraid I can't be of much help about the medical stuff. On the slippery

part, I can't help either; you'll have to appeal to a higher power for this!

On the " work at home " part, I may be able to help. Do you have anything

specific in mind?

Mike

Hello, Amy,

My husband reads CT scans all day, so I'll ask him to translate for you and

email you later. Hope it helps.

It's a Duragesic Patch, I hit the S instead of the D.

It dispenses pain medication continuoualy thru the skin. I have to change to

a new one every 72 hours. It's a class 2 drug, have to show ID and sigh for

it whenever I get it. Also have to get a new perscription from the doctor as

it can't be called in.

Hi Amy, I am taking Darvocets and Ultram too. At times they put me to sleep

but they only minimally ease the pain and only when I am sitting or

sleeping, definitely NOT when I must stand up or walk. Let me know if you

get patches if they help. Thanks Joan

Tonie, What can you tell me about Surragesic Patch? Is it over the counter or

need a MD to order it. How long does it last? Did it help you? I never heard

of it and am looking for some other pain meds to help me. AmyL(bamcbll)

Amy,

At this point, I think you should request clear explanations form the

referring doctor. He/she should be able to do that for you. Leaving a

patient with a complex report of findings & not explaining it is sort of

like giving you medical textbooks without the benefit of medical school.

If you really cant get info from one of your docs, I will try to work with

the list on the answers.

Amy, lumbar scoliosis means that your spinal column is bent as your

report indicated to the left. This is a developmental problem: as you

grew your spinal column in the lumbar region bent due to faster growth

on one side than the other or to postural problems, etc. That's about

all I know about your reports. Ray

Tonia, Is yours the Fentanyl patch, and if so, how high is your dosage? I

seem to have stalemated on the 100 mg., not getting much relief from anything

these days though.

Welcome to the list by the way, I am Cheryl V. another friend who has FMS,

CFS, various back problems which have led me to be bed-bound as of late.
