Only a doctor can tell if it's going into liver cancer through ultrasound, etc.

Hi Moetullar,

Welcome to the Group.

How long has your husband been diagnosed with cirrhosis? Is he seeing

a doctor now? The angry part may be from Hepatic Encephalopathy. This

is when toxins like ammonia build up in the body because of the livers

inability to clear them properly. Ammonia will travel through the

blood and end up in the brain causing the encephalopathy. There are

four stages with 1 being very mild and 4 being a coma.

His weight loss could be from muscle waisting which cirrhosis causes.

The lower pain in the back is most likely from the inflammation of the

liver (called hepatitis). This puts pressure on surrounding organs and

tissue causing the discomfort. Fatigue is also a classic sign of

cirrhosis.

It's important that your husband not drink any alcohol, eat plenty of

vegetable, drink lots of water and try to limit his intake of animal

protein, like steaks, red meat etc.

Depending on what the cause of the cirrhosis is and what type of

treatment he's receiving will determine your future. It's important

that he see a gastroenterologist or hepatologist.
