I want to clarify that I don't think that shingles was the main

trigger, but one of many to consider.

I am looking to see if this would be the basis for a good reasoning

to use Valtrex due to the circumstances with my nursing him while

having shingles.

my husband has ITP and actually got the shingles while he was out of remission with his ITP. my 8 mth old daughter came down with the chicken pox from him having the shingles and then my 2 yr old (2 at the time) also got the chicken pox a week after my 8 mth old came down with them! kim wrote: I want to clarify that I don't think that shingles was the main trigger, but one of many to consider.I am looking to see if this would be the basis for a good reasoning

KIm--what is ITP?

My son is 5 now and NEVER got chicken pox. Granted, he got varicella

vax @ 14 months--but was exposed prior to that.
