Question on DMSO and pain relief

I had acute plantar fasciitis from stepping on something, and it got worse

because I thought it was just bruised and kept walking on it. The doctor

put me on crutches and told me not to walk on it after about 6 weeks. I

then started compressing it at night with 90% DMSO gel covered by gauze

pads, I placed plastic over that and put on a cotton sock to hold it all

in place.

You could use tape.

It healed fairly rapidly after this although I still feel a twinge now

and then,

more at night, after a long day on my feet perhaps, but it is never bad

enough

to call it pain, just enough to notice that area still feels tight at times.

I was told alternating very hot water 10 minutes & icy cold water 3 minutes

was a good cure - with magnesium in the hot water - I would also apply DMSO

after that regime (you're meant to begin & end on the cold water)

I " m brand new to this group thanks to you.  I found one of your old post on the

pet4homeopathy yahoo group where you recommend DMSO and  you recommended we 

look for a yahoo group  so here I am..   You also mentioned   Gunpowder

12x.  Do

you know if Gunpowder 12x works on tumors?   Anything else you can recommend

for

my dog's tumor on her leg?   I was just going to leave my dog alone to end her

days walking with a limp until I found your post on the pet4homeopathy group. 

Thanks to you my dog just may live longer than I expected. Maybe even without

limping.   

I have never heard of DMSO until yesterday after reading your post.  I have no

idea  where to purchase it or how to use it for my dog's leg tumor and for the

pain that is causing her to limp.  Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

Markee if you are in the US the other folks on the list would be better able

to guide you as to the best place to buy DMSO in the US - yes Gunpowder does

help with tumours but i would start with some Arnica 30C (Washington

Homeopathics will stock this if you're in the US) I would also order Ferr

Phos, Silica & Calc Sulph (all 6x potency) which all may be available at

your HFS & get some Gunpowder 12x while you're ordering.

If you have comfrey growing cut a leaf up very fine and add it to your dog's

A friend told me about this, it worked for her and it has worked for several

people that I've told since then.

get one of those wooden, ridged massage rollers. place this under your foot

at the heel and while you are sitting, watching tv or reading or working on

the computer, and simply roll your foot so that the roller goes from the

heel to your toes. don't roll backwards, move the roller back to your heel

and then roll it to the toes again, over and over, for however long you want

do this for a few days and it should clear up the problem.

a chiropractor told my friend this. he said the roller breaks up the

tension and loosens the tendons.

How did you make the DMSO gel? And was it 90% DMSO and say 10% aloe or

something to make it gel-like? I saw her today and she had duct tape wrapped

all around her foot...I felt badly because I haven't yet been able to come

up with something to really help her to get some relief. She won't do the

crutches I do know that...but something at night will be ok, and keeping her

off her feet at times would work too.

Please tell me how to make the gel and we'll give it a go!

DMSO may help with the pain, but will it take the tumors down?

My cat and 3 dogs of friends has years of extended life from shark cartridge. I

don’t know a recommended amount, but I opened the capsules and put it into

Shadow’s food. When I stopped, the tumors returned, but I carried on for 3-4

years with this remedy.

Hi ,

Having had a couple bouts of PA, here are some things that helped me:

Don't walk around barefoot and avoid cold floors.

Arches and the tendons and fascia need support and also need to remain

gently stretched, or they'll tighten up and further inflame their

attachments.

I didn't get a night splint, but put a small, firm pillow against the

foot of my bed and at night, jammed my heel against the foot of the

bed with the ball of my foot on the pillow, making the angle of the

heel more acute.

Stand with balls of feet on a raised wooden threshold or edge of stair,

(facing stair) and gently lower heels for a few seconds at a time so

they're lower than the ball. This will stretch the sole of the foot.

Also, when getting out of bed, slide foot back and then bend opposite

knee (like runners stretching their hamstrings before running) Do this

slowly and gently for a few seconds before walking around.

And last, When we were on the road, touring and walking a lot, I found

that a simple $4 elastic arch band (Walmart) worn 24/7, kept the

tendons gently curved into the arch of my foot and kept them more

flexible while healing. I always carry one in my bag now, in case

something acts up. I think moderate walking with stretching is better

than letting the feet be completely idle, as absolute rest would

probably encourage the tendons and fascia tighten up and become even

more vulnerable. Hope some of this helps.

The gel I got at my Feed 'n' Seed, was disappointingly pretty runny:

about the consistency of heavy cream.

Silver Puppy (google it) offers a gel kit that I've used to make my CS

the consistency of Dippity-Do. It would be easy to make the gel with a

little distilled water and maybe some aloe to soothe skin, and then

add DMSO to it. (always add DMSO to other things, rather than the

other way around.)

I did not find it particularly runny, maybe not as thick as Dippity-Do,

for those of

us who remember that product!

It is thick enough to be more convenient to handle than the liquid but

it is not

easily diluted if you need a lower concentration. I suppose you could use an

organic aloe vera gel.

Hi Lena,

Glad to be of help. On the top of the jar, about a 6 to 8 oz jar, I show:

Aloe Vera 100% - gel

Grapefruit Seed Extract-24 drops. This is in some very expensive cream for

wounds.

Strong Colloidal Silver

1 teaspoon gel powder from the Silver Puppy (@ www:silverpuppy.com)

Regular Colloidal Silver (with distilled water), by drops to make the

consistency I wanted.

I used it on a burn recently, a bad rope burn and the pain stopped

immediately! I use a Q-tip to dispense it from the jar.

The only thing I can think of to add would possibly be DMSO, or possibly use

DMSO over the gel if the situation calls for it.
