icd 9 for potty training

Help, please.

Almost four year old, been well, not seen since 3 yr old well child check.

Can't start school since not potty trained yet.

Counseled and evaluated the other day with no obvious bowel or other health

problem, etc... I mostly suspect behavior issue with caregivers and need for

consistent effort/plans ...

icd 9 code to use for that?

Any thoughts appreciated.

well-child check, you might try:

V69.9 Problem related to lifestyle,

unspecified –OR-

V79.3 Developmental handicaps in early

childhood

We don’t see kids, so I don’t

usually code something like this…
