Hi

Thank you always for your support. I don't remember her having her

thyroid checked??? I have, but I don't know about her. Her OCD got

bad in 2nd grade. In 3rd grade she went on paxil, with some success.

In the spring of 4th grade, she changed to lexapro. A hard changeover.

5th grade was the best for her OCD, I think. 6th was OK, and towards

the middle to end of 6th grade it declined. And has declined since.

At first we raised the lexapro, but that didn't help. In August we

switched to zoloft, a low dose. Managed on it for a while until

increasing it several times. Not a whole lot of relief, but NEVER as

bad as lately. :( I wonder if puberty is making this all crazy. She

does not have her period yet, but her body is really changing.

I want her off the zoloft ASAP. That is why I am gong to email the

Doctor and tell me my strong concerns again. I heard that prosac is

the least likely to cause hair loss. I also read of a very, very rare

side effect called Lupus like syndrome. A swollen knee, hair

problems, ??? It makes me wonder. Everyone reacts so differently to

each drug. SInce I am allergic to zoloft, there is a good chance it

doesn't agree with her.

Poor thing............. :( Thanks. Ellen
