Joanne,

Wondering if you can share what the acyclovir experience was like. In our ever widening quest to find an antiviral ours can take, we are considering Acyclovir.

Specifically, how long did you give it and how often did you dose it and what did you notice?

Re: cold sores

Cold sores associated with herpes virus.Quite a lot kids when tested have been exposed to herpes virus .My NT son has just had them ...blast ! but we seem to be doing well giving him some Lysine Darryl did suffer a lot with spots around the mouth until we treated with a course of aciclovir from the GP.They always appeared when immune system was under attack - teething etc.Joanne>> My daughter gets cold sores easily and it's hard to get rid of them. Yes, something that is in the back of my mind is that cold sore virus is

all around us and really common -- it shows up when you are run down ie

your immunity is low. Any one know if that is right?

Thanks, Joanne, very informative. We got good things with TF Advanced, not the Advanced Plus, still give it as a matter of fact.

Hi We did aciclovir for 1 week / 10 days at the most.First 3 days nothing..4th day he got a bit flushed in the face and then was sick just oncebringing up what i can only describe as loads of mucus. The rest of the week he was a nightmare - really grumpy , irritable and manic. Which was probably die off..But that was 12 months ago and no further outbreaks.fingers crossed. We were advised to do it whilst the virus was active. And as he was teething and he has spots all around his mouth we went for it.Cant remember the dose...whatever the standard is from the GP.I have seen someone post about coconut oil - which is what the antiviral lauricidin is based on.But our Food allergy test showed up allergy to Coconut oil and coconut milk of all the things ! .Normal son I think has it and have had very good results using the amino acid lysine which is used to fight herpes. We get that from www.metabolics.co.uk look under amino acids. At the end of the day its probably a knackered immune systemcaused by heavy metals that meant they cant cope with this virus.Hoping to have a go at transfers factors soon to boost immune in general.Having heard extremely good report about it..Joanne> >> > My daughter gets cold sores easily and it's hard to get rid of them. > She > > has very slight eczma occasionally.
