a) Lugol's is inexpensive

B) I paint it on my legs, swab it in my ears, and gargle with it.

No way to paint with Iodoral tablets real easy.

Janie

I can't compare the two as I've only taken Iodoral 50mg a day BUT the

tenderness in my breasts is gone!

Lynda, perhaps you gave me something to look at, since you are taking

50 mg of Iodoral. I am currently using 25 mg. of Lugols via 2 drops

per breast. So to equal what you are doing, I would need to do 4 drops

per breast if I am looking at this correctly.

Personally, I tend to see greater response in my energy and strength

using the Iodoral pills or even kelp tablets. The liquid just didn't do

anything for me.

I would love to hear opinions about taking Iodoral vs. using iodine in

liquid form. Is there a reason to prefer one over the other??

The reason I leaned towards using Lugols vs. Iodoral: I use

progesterone gel and testosterone gel, and definitely had a raise in

those levels. So I know transdermal works. Plus, I'm a strong

believe in sublingual methods of adminstrating anything I can, since

it bypasses the liver and puts less stress on the liver. And I see

transdermal as doing the same....I think. The evaporation issue of

using Lugol's concerns me, though. I am now up to 4 drops per

breasts, and though four drops equals roughly 24 mgs per breast, I

do wonder WHAT I am getting.

I use Lugol's on my legs. Lugol's hep wounds heal and my legs had

a lot of open sores on them a year ago. I probably cover about 2 sq

feet combined on both legs once a week, and probably use about half an

ounce of Lugol's. My legs have not been in this good a shape in a

year.

When is it better to take Lugol's rather than Iodoral? If one has digestive absorption problems, would Lugol's be better?

I'm sure it depends upon the kind of absorption you are talking about. I have

low stomach acid and take prolamine iodine pills easily, I think they are

absorbing fine. Not pain or anything in my stomach. I'm trying to get up near

theraputic levels slowely but surely.
