Dear Roe,

Maybe if you complete the chelation for mercury/lead first your son will

then be able to tolerate the malic acid chelation? Each time you

successfully remove a toxin I would imagine the body would be more forgiving

of or less overwhelmed by others (?). Otherwise, how will the aluminum be

gotten rid of? We certainly don't want that in their systems! Is there

another means of chelating it?

Roe,

Both of my sons showed high aluminum and they reacted similarly to the malic

acid at first. I lowered the dosage and then increased it gradually, and

they didn't have any more symptoms. I recently started taking it myself and

if I take too much I get a bad headache. But in general, I feel much

better.

So how much did you have to decrease the dose before it didn't cause

problems? (and how young is your child? bodyweight?) thank you! My

daughter had elevated aluminum and so I will be wanting to use this in the

future once we've tackled the mercury/lead.

Malic acid is supposed to chelate aluminum and I found most of my info by

searching the archives. We use Ethical Nutrients brand, which comes in 300

mg tablets. My son is 3.4 and weighs 45 lbs. He tolerated 100 mg once a

day, and now he takes 100 mg twice a day. When we started with 200 mg at

once he seemed to become irritable.

>how will the aluminum be gotten rid of?

50mg to 75mg of Zinc Picolonate daily will push out both Aluminum and

Cadmium.

Drinking lots of OJ can cause a Leaky Gut.

>I wonder why is this so? mt

The citric acid in OJ increases gut permeability by a factor of about 50 times. I read this in an NIH study done in 1998 but later removed from the NIH web site. Anita must have called the NIH to complain.

Huh!No, I don't, but I imagine it would be similar to, oh, say, someone being allergic to tomatoes - can they still take lycopene as a supplement? I think it is so far removed from the entirity that an allergy may not pertain. But DO check it out first! What the heck do *I* know? Except that as far as injuries go (and no - this hasn't fixed my shoulder - YET...!), I do remind myself several times a day that the body renews itself constantly, so that every 11 months or so we have ALL NEW cells.Something to keep in mind. Literally.Ev"A hundred million miracles are happening every day!"

Do you know if someone who is allergic to apples can use it? I will be doing some research. Would love to get back to my normal limited mobility due to known injuries versus where I am now. Thanks, Sheila
