I am not sure about this product in particular, but it is true that

you tend to absorb more with a transdermal, especially if you have

digestive issues. And I believe people with candida overgrowth have

digestive issues.

It doesn't seem to have any other harmful ingredients like parabens

and such so that's good.

+++Hi . It says it contains magnesium chloride. I'm not a

chemist but chloride is in salt (chloride + sodium = salt), so I

wouldn't know if you would be getting to much chloride by also having

ocean sea salt. It doesn't say how much chloride is in it however. It

also doesn't state the source of the oil; magnesium itself is not an

oil. For those reasons I'm very suspicious of it. We know people who

take the magnesium citrate I recommend do very well on it, so why

change?

I have used Magnesium oil with much success. It is ackowledged that it is not an

oil, but is called that due to it's oily quality. It is sea water that has been

condenced (high in minerals, esp. magnesium, and is what makes it seem oily) and

refined of any impurities found in the water.

When using a bath of the crystals from the same website, there is an instant

relaxation from the magnesium going IMMEDIATELY into the body. Feels wonderful!

I am a skeptic of many products, after having been dealing with Candida for over

20 years and spending so much money(I even passed over Bee's website once upon a

time, because I had alread tried the candida diet twice and was ever hungry, and

felt it didn't work - nobody talked about the fat to protein to carb ratio...

brilliant!!! It helps SOOO much!! And I was always craving fats back then - if I

had only listened to my body!). Anyway, point being I have used Mag oil for 2

years and love it. Never did well with the oral - always upset my whole

digestive system...

If you are interested in the site I buy from I will happily list it, but only

with your permission! Thank you for all you do, Bee - when I am better and

closer to getting off disability, I'll start making contributions! Your site is

the most complete and scientifically researched one I have had the honor of

delving into, and am excited about taking this journey into the candida diet

again... blessings! - Lilithe

Hi Lilithe,

I do not recommend taking magnesium oil, for many good reasons. Since you are

so new, I might ask if you have any affiliation to the website you are referring

to?

Are you starting on my candida program?

Cheers, Bee

LOL! No, just a very satisfied customer who has spent thousands of dollars over

the past 15 years trying to heal a lifetime of Candida (became aware I was sick

at 15, am now 39). Magnesium supplements not only go through me at even the

smallest doses, but they leave behind a wake of swelling and pain - I have a

VERY sensitive digestive system. I was so happy to find the mag oil, and it was

recommended by a Dr.Mark Sircus, Ac., OMD, who was the first person in my world

to connect Candida with cancer. An important connection for me, as my lifetime

" battle " with Candida has led to it trying to turn into leukemia (though I am

diagnosed with " myleodisplasia " - " preleukemia " ). I have used baking soda for

awhile on and off, though it feels like the yeast love it if I get too much of

it.

I have been on the Candida diet twice, once when I was 25 and again when I was

29, with OK results, but always with continuing horrible constipation and

vaginal infections (which were an 18 year reality for me, starting when I was 18

years old, and became sexually active. Accupuncture helped clear the infections

vaginally, but obviously not the whole body!) Sorry to get so personal, group!

But it was the major indicator that I was not well. I can go back as far as 6

years old (right after my tonsils were removed - and had never breast fed, was

given cow's milk from day one, and was ill all the time, taking many rounds of

antibiotics for various respiratory infections) and can see that I had the

symptoms of Candida back then.

I am recently coming from a raw food diet, though within three months of

starting it, I was in the doctor's office having panic attacks and agoraphobia,

which led me to getting blood work indicating the yeast were well on their way

to trying to kill me! (Though the doctor's won;t acknowledge the connection) I

am on disability because of it. It's been a journey.

I am excited to come back this way again, as I absolutely CRAVE this diet and am

tired of feeling guilty in front of my raw food friends about my NEED to eat a

good steak once in awhile. Thank you for giving me the science (I have a degree

in Botany, and love proof!) to back up my intuitive food choices. So, long

answer, but YES I am wholeheartedly on this program and back on the diet as of

two days, am getting ready for the 2 hour trip to the store to get good meat,

veggies , FATS and supplements!!! I spent literally 10 hours reading almost all

of your website yesterday, and getting all the requisite info for my shopping

trip today.

Without it being argumentative, I am very interested in why you do not recommend

the mag oil, as it is pretty much condenced ocean water, and it seems you

recommend mineral salt baths, which would also up one's intake of chloride? And

sodium for that matter? I will continue on it myself, as I have never been able

to tolerate the oral, but will try again in the near future when I have been

feeding myself better for awhile.

Sorry such a long post! I am a rather talkitive sort... :} But thank you Bee,

for being a presence on the Web for people like me seeking answers! Blessings! -

+++Hi Lilithe. Magnesium is involved with so many other nutrients, which all

work together, so I don't think you should point to magnesium supplements as the

cause of diarrhea. People on my program take magnesium and calcium citrate form

and they haven't had any problems with it.

+++All minerals require acid in order to be absorbed and utilized, which is why

I recommend the citrate form; of course all nutrients in the body work together.

+++But of course they also take 1 1/2 teaspoons of ocean sea salt per day which

provides 3,606 mg chloride and 2,760 sodium which is correctly balanced, along

with over 84 other minerals. Chloride is also found in many foods and regular

tap water.

+++Magnesium chloride is also slowly absorbed by the body, which can cause

digestive symptoms.

+++The magnesium oil product you are taking is magnesium chloride which is

derived from ocean sea salt, so why not get the " real thing " instead of a

processed product, which is balanced, and contains other minerals besides by

taking ocean sea salt instead.

+++Also too high of chloride levels in the body cause symptoms.

> I have been on the Candida diet twice, once when I was 25 and again when I was

29, with OK results, but always with continuing horrible constipation and

vaginal infections.

<snip>

+++Most candida diets do not help since they recommend many foods that feed

candida, do not have enough " good " fats, and are geared towards " killing off

candida. " However candida, bugs and even cancer cannot be cured that way by

killing them off. They can only cured by building up the immune system, which is

done by:

1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements),

2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and

cancer),

3) Eliminating damaging foods, and

4) Eliminating toxins in general.

When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically " make " candida (or

any bug, cancer, etc.) change back into the organism it is supposed to be when

the body is healthy.

+++If magnesium oil is condensed ocean sea salt, why not take the " real thing "

(which is the same chemical consistency as your own tears) instead of a

processed product that contains more magnesium chloride in ratio to the other

minerals?
